Ridemakerz: Build Memories at Home this Father's Day #BuildMemories

"Fathers, build a car with your son. You never know, it may just change him for life. Find the time and the money. I guarantee that you won’t regret it, and neither will he."
-Robert Kibbe

High-Octane Fun for the Whole Family
Our family loves Ridemakerz! We've actually celebrated Father's Day at Ridemakerz before. It's hard to tell who has the most fun. The dads line up the cars, the kids race them and set up courses and even us moms like to watch and play too. It's non-stop giggles and laughter, high-speed races and crashes, and a whole lot of ways to Build Memories! We're hosting a Birthday Party Bash later on this summer. Some of our favorites are the Disney and Marvel themed Ridez. Check out this Captain America Camaro available now!

Build Memories with Your Pit Crew
Fathers and sons used to spend hours upon hours working on cars together. Under the hoods and bent over engines. Ridemakerz is bringing back the joy that building a vehicle together can bring. This time it's a toy car and it's definitely not just for boys! What would you say if we told you that we have found the perfect gift to get Dads playing together with their sons AND their daughters. Ridemakerz is a brand that brings key elements of play together. Creativity, engineering and the need for speed. Add in the ability to use your imagination and you've got a one-of-a-kind experience. Each ride is an expression that reflects the individuals’ own unique style and personality. A great thing about making your own creation, is that these cars are something that your family will spend more time together playing with all year long. Whether you go visit your local Ridemakerz shop and customize your ride there, (Our favorite is at Downtown Disney in Anaheim) customize your ride online, or get a build at home kit - everyone wins!

Disney Amigurumi: 22 Tiny Adorable Dolls on Etsy

Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting or knitting small stuffed animals and dolls. The word is a combination of the Japanese words ami, knitted or crocheted, and nuigurumi, which means stuffed doll. We didn't even know that word until we discovered these impossibly cute tiny dolls and did a little research of our own. The popularity of this type of knitting has been growing especially due to sites like Pinterest and Etsy, with the DIY crafting explosion!

We've seen all sorts of Amigurumi animals and pop culture characters, but just about died from cuteness overload when we found these Disney Amigurumi dolls from Little Creations by AnyaZoe. The time it takes to create the detail in these incredible tiny Disney-inspired designs is incredible! These aren't your average dolls. We got a chance to interview Anya and here's what we learned!

Disney Sisters: How long have you been creating these mini masterpieces?
Anya: I have been making amigurumi for about four years now.

DS: What made you get into amigurumi? Was it hard to learn?
Anya: In January of 2010, I decided to learn how to crochet because I really wanted to make a Sackboy plush (from LittleBigPlanet) for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. It is one of our favorite games to play together, and I thought it would make a great gift, especially if it was handmade by me. I learned how to crochet from a person on Youtube that goes by the name GoldenJellyBean. She has many tutorials on how to crochet. One of those tutorials shows you how to make an entire Sackboy. The Sackboy was quite a large plush, so after many hours of working on him with help from her youtube videos, I was able to get the hang of crocheting pretty quick. Within a few months, I learned how to make my own patterns and eventually opened an Etsy shop.

DS: Approx how long does it take you to make 1 doll?
Anya: The time it takes to make each doll varies greatly, but the average is four to six hours. The dolls with less detail, one without hair for example, take a lot less time.

DS: Any advice for someone who wants to get into making amigurumi?
Anya: The best advice I can give to someone who wants to learn how to make amigurumi is to look for as many tutorials on youtube as you can until you find something that works for you. Everyone is different, but I find that being able to stop, rewind and rewatch the youtube videos made it very easy to learn how to crochet for me.

We're so glad that she did learn how to make them, and we are happy to share them with you!

Check out this collection of 22 of the tiniest, cutest dolls you'll ever see on Etsy!

These would be a great gift for Mother's Day for the Disney-loving Mom in your life!
