It's a unique photo opportunity during the for families and photographers alike. Each degree at Disneyland is magical, but when you can get the full 360 degrees in one shot it makes for breathtaking photographs.

We recently announced that we became Kodak PixPro Evangelists. Yay! There's no place we'd rather shoot with an incredible new camera then at the Disney Parks. We were seriously giddy to get all snap happy during this special time of the year at Disneyland Park. We are so excited to share with you a few of our favorites, as you can see the Kodak PixPro SP360 captures Disneyland at Halloween Time in a whole new way. (P.S. 10 Tips For Halloween at Disneyland And Mickey's Halloween Party

As soon as the Disneyland Resort announces the dates for Halloween Time our family starts planning our costumes. We know that we are going to go on Opening Night, as we do every year. .  Halloween at Disneyland is a big deal and a family tradition for us.

10 Tips to make the most of your night
at Mickey's Halloween Party:
  1. Get there early and stay late. This event is so popular it's almost always is sold out. We suggest getting there at least an hour early and walk around or eat an early dinner at one of the restaurants in Downtown Disney. At the same time, if you can stay until closing, do so. The hours fly by when you are having fun & if everyone in your party can hang late, we've found staying until the very end is even more enjoyable once the crowds die down.
  2. Park in the Toy Story Parking Lot. You will take a shuttle to the park instead of the tram but it is usually a lot less crowded and the Mickey and Friends Parking Lot can be absolutely jammed. Toy Story Parking Lot is located at Katella and Harbor.
  3. Expect Traffic! We can't warn you enough that it can take up to an hour to get from the freeway exit to the entrance gate. Pack extra patience and know that once you're inside the "Happiest Place On Earth" it will all be worth it.
  4. Pack Water. All that trick or treating fun is hard work and chocolate makes you really thirsty. They sell water at the parks but we like to bring our own water so we can spend our money on food and souvenirs.
  5. Bring Your Own Trick or Treating Bags. As you enter the park, they give each guest a small size bag. We prefer to bring our own larger size bag and you can even match it to your costume if you want. A larger bag is also good to carry your bottle of water and maybe even a sweatshirt.
  6. Don't Stop At The First Trick or Treat Trail You Come To. If the line is long at the first trick or treat station pass it up and head further into the park. There are so many Trick or Treat Trails you don't have to stop on Main Street, it's usually the most crowded. If you do see long lines, don't worry they move quickly.
  7. Bring Your Camera and or Video Camera. Although most of the party takes place in the dark. You can get some great photos of your kids meeting characters in costumes. Video cameras are especially fun at the 2 dance party areas.
  8. Bring Glow Sticks and a Small Flashlight. Glowing in the dark is fun at any age. Head over the the dollar store and buy some glow necklaces or bracelets to add to the fun. Having a small flashlight has really come in handy for our family and can also be used to play shadow games on the ground while waiting in lines.
  9. Comfortable Shoes. Wear your costume and go all out! But we highly suggest wearing comfortable shoes. Even a Princess gets blisters and tired feet, especially if she's running around all night in her glass slippers.
  10. You Have To Ask For Healthy "Treats". At every trick or treat station they have a variety of healthy snacks like raisins, carrots, dried cranberries and apples. But we have found that you have to ask for the healthy snacks.

Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort

Halloween Time has made it's way to So Cal, and it's going on now through October 31st at Disneyland Resort. Get ready to be dazzled in the most spook-tacular way!

My family and I just went to the Disneyland Resort this past weekend & had a pumpkin, er,  I mean ball. There are SO many festive sights, sounds and smells for the little ones and not so little ones. They really did an amazing job of getting us in the Halloween mood. Everywhere you look there are orange and black decor, pumpkins, fall leaves and more! If you have never been to Disneyland during Halloween Time, you really must go.

Also we will be attending MICKEY'S HALLOWEEN PARTY soon, so we will give you the low down on that too! (It's the separate ticketed event where kids and adults can dress up and trick-or-treat inside the park.)

  Halloween Time Highlights

  • Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland is transformed for the PUMPKIN FESTIVAL. More than 300 pumpkins will be on display in shop windows and none of them are the same!

  • Meeting Disney characters will be easier than ever as Disney villains gather to plot Halloween mischief at “it’s a small world” Mall in Disneyland, while other characters in spooky attire greet guests in Town Square, Main Street, U.S.A.
  • Special Halloween treats will be available in Disneyland, including menu items such as Zero’s Ghostly Ghoulash, served in a dog dish in honor of Zero.

  • Halloween Time gifts are offered in Disneyland Resort shops. Gifts include jack- o-lantern mouse ears and collectable pins depicting Mickey Mouse and his friends in Halloween costumes.

  • Jack Skellington also returns to take over the Haunted Mansion and bring back Haunted Mansion Holiday to New Orleans Square in Disneyland, inspired by “Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas.”
  • The "Haunted" version of Space Mountain aka Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy. Ghosts appear out of the starry darkness and swirling galaxies of Space Mountain, reaching out as if to grab guests as they speed through space. The exhilarating drops and curves of the journey are punctuated by piercing screams, creepy sound effects and haunting music.
  • For spine-tingling fun, drop in at The Twilight Zone™ Tower of Terror at Disney California Adventure park, where a “supernatural” event happened on Halloween evening, 1939, forever haunting the building.

And don't forget to go VOTE for your favorite Disney Villian!
(as of today: MALEFICENT is in the lead)
