This is Halloween Lyrics from The Nightmare Before Christmas

LEARN THE LYRICS WITH THE DISNEY SISTERS

We love Disney music from all of our favorite Disney movies - don't you?
Here's a classic Disney song that's just perfect for this time of year!

"This is Halloween" from Time Burton's

THIS IS HALLOWEEN
By Danny Elfman
(from Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas)

Boys and girls of every age
Wouldn't you like to see something strange?
Come with us and you will see
This our town of Halloween!

This is Halloween! This is Halloween!
Pumpkins scream in the dead of night
This is Halloween, everybody make a scene
Trick or treat til the neighbors gonna die of fright
It's our town, everybody scream
In this town of Halloween!

I am the one hiding under your bed
Teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red!
I am the one hiding under yours stairs
Fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair!

This is Halloween! This is Halloween!
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
In this town we call home,
Everyone hail to the pumpkin song!

In this town, don't we love it now?
Everybody's waiting for the next surprise

Round that corner, man hiding in the trash can
Something's waiting now to pounce, and how you'll...
Scream! This is Halloween
Red 'n' black, slimy green
Aren't you scared?
Well, that's just fine
Say it once, say it twice
Take a chance and roll the dice
Ride with the moon in the dead of night
Everybody scream! Everybody scream!
In our town of Halloween!

I am the clown with the tear-away face
Here in a flash and gone without a trace
I am the "who" when you call, "Who's there?"
I am the wind blowing through your hair
I am the shadow on the moon at night
Filling your dreams to the brim with fright

This is Halloween! This is Halloween!
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
Halloween! Halloween!
Tender lumplings everywhere
Life's no fun without a good scare!

That's our job, but we're not mean
In our town of Halloween!
In this town, Don't we love it now?
Everybody's waiting for the next surprise

Skeleton Jack might catch you in the back
And scream like a banshee
Make you jump out of your skin
This is Halloween, everyone scream
Wont' ya please make way for a very special guy

Our man jack is King of the Pumpkin patch
Everyone hail to the Pumpkin King now!

This is Halloween! This is Halloween!
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
In this town we call home,
Everyone hail to the pumpkin song!

Robert B. Sherman, Saying Goodbye to a Disney Legend

If you've ever enjoyed Disney music, whether watching a Disney Film, riding an attraction or viewing a parade at Disneyland, chances are you're a fan of The Sherman Brothers. They have written all of the classic Disney songs from "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" to "Heffalumps & Woozles" to "Bare Necessities" and the most played song of all time, "It's a Small World (After All)."

We are so sorry to hear about the loss of the Robert B. Sherman. His son Jeffrey posted a sweet note announcing his passing last night on his Facebook account. And has since written this to all of the people leaving their condolences:

"Thank you everyone for your amazing outpouring of love. Dad once told me he wished he could stand at the end of the "It's a Small World" ride so he could shake everyone's hand as they exited. World peace, charity, love and family were his prayer for the world.
Robert B. Sherman was a poet all his life and, during the war, saw the darkest depths of humanity. He somehow survived those years and the nightmares that followed. He devoted his life and his passion to all forms of art to shine a light on the beauty of mankind and make the world a happier place.
Every time, everywhere someone sings his song, Dad is there smiling."

You can read the Disney Insider where Jeff has written what it was like as a child being "part of the magic" in Remembering Life As A Disney Kid.

Thanks to the Disney D23 Fan Club we've had the absolute honor to meet Richard Sherman on more than one occasion. We also had the pleasure of meeting Robert's son, Jeffrey and his family at the D23 Expo in 2011. Though we never got the opportunity to meet Robert, our memories and our time spent with the Sherman Family is held even more dearly now.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Sherman Family during this difficult time. The entire world is grieving with them. Robert has left behind a legacy nothing less than amazing and it will be treasured forever by people of all ages. He was 86. May he Rest in Peace. We are sure that Walt is welcoming home his old friend, and they are together again.
