Disney Store’s new design aims to deliver  “magical moments to guests of all ages” through immersive experiences, including a Disney Princess castle with magic mirror, translucent magical trees, Disney∙Pixar CARS neighborhood, and the Disney Store Theatre, featuring the latest in Disney entertainment. The interactive shopping destination features magical experiences for Disney fans of all ages to enjoy.

In celebration, one lucky child will “unlock imagination” with a beautiful oversized lock and key and officially grand open the Disney Store at 10 a.m. on October 6^th at the Costa Mesa store. Disney Store’s signature opening ceremony will take place every day at the South Coast Plaza location, giving many more children an opportunity to create an unforgettable Disney Store experience.  The first 500 guests to attend the grand opening celebration will receive a free gift. From noon to 4 p.m. a meet and greet with Jake and Captain Hook from Disney Channel’s Jake and the Neverland Pirates will take place in the Carousel Court, with an opportunity for guests to take photos with the characters*.

10 Tips For Halloween at Disneyland And Mickey's Halloween Party

As soon as the Disneyland Resort announces the dates for Halloween Time our family starts planning our costumes. We know that we are going to go on Opening Night, as we do every year. .  Halloween at Disneyland is a big deal and a family tradition for us.

10 Tips to make the most of your night 
at Mickey's Halloween Party:

1. Get there early and stay late. This event is so popular it's almost always is sold out. We suggest getting there at least an hour early and walk around or eat an early dinner at one of the restaurants in Downtown Disney. At the same time, if you can stay until closing, do so. The hours fly by when you are having fun & if everyone in your party can hang late, we've found staying until the very end is even more enjoyable once the crowds die down.
2. Park in the Toy Story Parking Lot. You will take a shuttle to the park instead of the tram but it is usually a lot less crowded and the Mickey and Friends Parking Lot can be absolutely jammed. Toy Story Parking Lot is located at Katella and Harbor.
3. Expect Traffic! We can't warn you enough that it can take up to an hour to get from the freeway exit to the entrance gate. Pack extra patience and know that once you're inside the "Happiest Place On Earth" it will all be worth it.
4. Pack Water. All that trick or treating fun is hard work and chocolate makes you really thirsty. They sell water at the parks but we like to bring our own water so we can spend our money on food and souvenirs.
5. Bring Your Own Trick or Treating Bags. As you enter the park, they give each guest a small size bag. We prefer to bring our own larger size bag and you can even match it to your costume if you want. A larger bag is also good to carry your bottle of water and maybe even a sweatshirt. 
6. Don't Stop At The First Trick or Treat Trail You Come To. If the line is long at the first trick or treat station pass it up and head further into the park. There are so many Trick or Treat Trails you don't have to stop on Main Street, it's usually the most crowded. If you do see long lines, don't worry they move quickly.
7. Bring Your Camera and or Video Camera. Although most of the party takes place in the dark. You can get some great photos of your kids meeting characters in costumes. Video cameras are especially fun at the 2 dance party areas.
8. Bring Glow Sticks and a Small Flashlight. Glowing in the dark is fun at any age. Head over the the dollar store and buy some glow necklaces or bracelets to add to the fun. Having a small flashlight has really come in handy for our family and can also be used to play shadow games on the ground while waiting in lines.
9. Comfortable Shoes. Wear your costume and go all out! But we highly suggest wearing comfortable shoes. Even a Princess gets blisters and tired feet, especially if she's running around all night in her glass slippers.
10. You Have To Ask For Healthy "Treats". At every trick or treat station they have a variety of healthy snacks like raisins, carrots, dried cranberries and apples. But we have found that you have to ask for the healthy snacks.

This awesome parade can only be seen during Mickey's Halloween Party. There are two parades beginning at 8:30pm and 10:30pm.

Halloween Screams
Jack Sekellington hosts this Halloween fireworks "spooktacular" which is shown nightly at 9:30pm.

Dance Parties
Enjoy music and dancing at
Buzz Lightyear's Intergalactic Space Jam located at Tomorrowland Terrace and
Piratepalooza located at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante.

Disney Baby Store Opening Creates Magical Moments For Military Families

Disney Sisters attended the "birth" of the first ever Disney Baby Store at Americana at Brand 

in Glendale, CA and it was so much more than the grand opening of a retail store, it was a 

most magical celebration.

Last week Disney welcomed the arrival of the very first Disney Baby Store and online boutique by hosting a baby shower for more than 20 expectant and new military moms. Disney teamed with Operation Shower, a non-profit organization that supports military families by hosting baby showers to ease the stress of deployment.
The Disney Baby Magical Moments festival honored the military moms-to-be with brunch while Blue Sky Riders (comprised of members Kenny Loggins, Georgia Middleman and Gary Burr) performed songs from their upcoming self-titled album. The touching experience was made even sweeter when the band sang Kenny Loggins' classic song "House at Pooh Corner". Let's just say, we weren't the only ones who needed tissue, happy tears all around. Watching Disney create memorable experiences for a few of the many families that sacrifice so much for our country was truly magical!

 Our favorite Disney Channel Moms on and off-screen were on hand to share in the Disney Baby celebration. Good Luck Charlie's Leigh-Allyn Baker rocked the pregnancy glow, she is due in a month and might very well be the cutest pregnant woman ev-er! We finally got to meet Angel Parker's precious little princess Naomi and son James. Remember when she was pregnant with Naomi during our interview on the set of Lab Rats? We also had the pleasure of meeting Angel's prince charming of a husband, Eric Nenninger. *LOVE THEM*

Bob Chapek, president of Disney Consumer Products was joined by the adorable Alison Sweeney and her 2 kids along side Winne the Pooh and his 100 acre woods pals to officially open the store.

Disney Store has always been one of our favorite places to shop for clothes and toys, now moms everywhere are rejoicing at the unveiling of the newest addition to the Disney Family. Disney invited the military moms to shop in the new Disney Baby Store with a gift card to purchase all their favorite things.

Cuddly Baby Bedding, Cozy Pajamas, Bath time Fun, Adorable Bouncers and Strollers,
and the cutest onesies with all of your favorite Disney characters. They even have Halloween Costumes for the smallest member of every family.

Halloween Time just got spookier, with thrills at Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, chills at Haunted Mansion Holiday and a special "Art of Frankenweenie" exhibit at Disney California Adventure Park, plus enchanting décor across the Resort for the Halloween Time season, Sept. 14-Oct. 31! Tickets purchased in advance for Mickey’s Halloween Party are $54 most days, while tickets purchased on event days are $64. On Oct. 29 and 31, tickets are $69,

It was officially announced on The Buzz (Disney Store's Blog) back in June but in case you missed it, we wanted to share the exciting news! After the huge success of the Disney Princess Designer Dolls Collection it's no surprise to see the next series - Villains! The Disney Villains Designer Collection re-imagines the stylish wickedness of classic Disney Villains. We hope there are even more dolls to come!!!

Maleficent

"In 1959’s Sleeping Beauty, Merryweather says “Maleficent doesn’t know anything about love, or kindness, or the joy of helping others.” That may be true, but our Disney Villains Designer Collection Maleficent certainly knows a thing or two about fashion!
