We Love Disney: A Magical, Musical Journey #WeLoveDisney

We Love Disney music don't you?
Everyone that we know has a favorite Disney song. Just ask yourself. The hardest part about the question is trying to figure out which one song is actually your favorite. Hasn't evenyone at one time or another been touched by a song while watching a Disney movie. All the feelings. All the emotions.

Growing up Disney fans, Disney music has played a big part in our lives so when we heard about the Disney soundtrack coming out, we jumped at the chance to get our copy! "We Love Disney" is all about the old classics paired with contemporary artists who put their own twist and sprinkle their own pixie dust on the tracks. Tale as old as time, tune as old as song...  Ariana Grande, Rascal Flatts, Gwen Stefani, Fall Out Boy, this record has so many big names. Sounds of our youth remixed by the artists of today is going to keep the "We Love Disney" album in heavy rotation around our house.

Here's the tracks on this album filled with Disney magic:
1. “Friend Like Me” (from Aladdin) – Ne-Yo
2. “Part of Your World” (from The Little Mermaid) – Jessie J
3. “Can You Feel the Love Tonight / Nants’ Ingonyama” (from The Lion King) – Jason Derulo
4. “The Rainbow Connection” (from The Muppet Movie) – Gwen Stefani
5. “Zero to Hero” (from Hercules) – Ariana Grande
6. “In a World of My Own / Very Good Advice” (from Alice in Wonderland) – Jhené Aiko
7. “I Wan’na Be Like You (The Monkey Song)” (from The Jungle Book) – Fall Out Boy
8. “Colors of the Wind” (from Pocahontas) – Tori Kelly
9. “Spoonful of Sugar” (from Mary Poppins) – Kacey Musgraves
10. “Ev’rybody Wants to Be a Cat” (from The Aristocats) – Charles Perry
11. “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes” (from Cinderella) – Jessie Ware
12. “Let It Go” (from Frozen) – Rascal Flatts & Lucy Hale
13. “It’s a Small World” – We Love Disney Artists
14. “It’s Not Easy Being Green” (from The Muppet Show) – Brenna Whitaker
15. “A Whole New World” (from Aladdin) – Yuna

"We Love Disney Music" has pop, rock, country and R&B sure to capture the ear (and heart) of many. Verve Records and Walt Disney Records brought together 12 completely different artists to create a stellar mix of sounds and styles. For the jazz lover, Ne-Yo's version of "Friend Like Me" is so catchy. For those who are into country music, a new country take on Frozen mega-hit "Let It Go" by Rascal Flast and Lucy Hale is unlike any version you've ever heard before. A variety of artists collaborated on "It's a Small World" that will have you singing this classic all day long. Of course will always love the classics but that doesn't mean there isn't enough room on our playlist to include these new versions of Disney songs.

Our current favorite tracks from this album are...
A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes
Colors of the Wind
Let It Go
It's a Small World
...but we really like all of them!

With the holidays coming up "We Love Disney Music" is the perfect gift to get the Disney-phile in your life or any music lover who appreciates good music. You can download it on iTunes or buy your copy on Amazon starting on October 30, 2015 and go on one magical, musical journey.

Disclosure: We participated in the We Love Disney album review program as a member of One2One Network. I was provided an album to review but all opinions are our own.

We love Disney music from all of our favorite Disney movies - don't you?
Here's a classic Disney song that's just perfect for this time of year!

"This is Halloween" from Time Burton's

THIS IS HALLOWEEN
By Danny Elfman
(from Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas)

Boys and girls of every age
Wouldn't you like to see something strange?
Come with us and you will see
This our town of Halloween!

This is Halloween! This is Halloween!
Pumpkins scream in the dead of night
This is Halloween, everybody make a scene
Trick or treat til the neighbors gonna die of fright
It's our town, everybody scream
In this town of Halloween!

I am the one hiding under your bed
Teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red!
I am the one hiding under yours stairs
Fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair!

This is Halloween! This is Halloween!
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
In this town we call home,
Everyone hail to the pumpkin song!

In this town, don't we love it now?
Everybody's waiting for the next surprise

Round that corner, man hiding in the trash can
Something's waiting now to pounce, and how you'll...
Scream! This is Halloween
Red 'n' black, slimy green
Aren't you scared?
Well, that's just fine
Say it once, say it twice
Take a chance and roll the dice
Ride with the moon in the dead of night
Everybody scream! Everybody scream!
In our town of Halloween!

I am the clown with the tear-away face
Here in a flash and gone without a trace
I am the "who" when you call, "Who's there?"
I am the wind blowing through your hair
I am the shadow on the moon at night
Filling your dreams to the brim with fright

This is Halloween! This is Halloween!
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
Halloween! Halloween!
Tender lumplings everywhere
Life's no fun without a good scare!

That's our job, but we're not mean
In our town of Halloween!
In this town, Don't we love it now?
Everybody's waiting for the next surprise

Skeleton Jack might catch you in the back
And scream like a banshee
Make you jump out of your skin
This is Halloween, everyone scream
Wont' ya please make way for a very special guy

Our man jack is King of the Pumpkin patch
Everyone hail to the Pumpkin King now!

This is Halloween! This is Halloween!
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
In this town we call home,
Everyone hail to the pumpkin song!

Learn the Lyrics: "Carry On" by Olivia Holt for Disneynature BEARS

"Carry On"
by Olivia Holt

(From Disneynature BEARS)

There's always gonna be some canyon in the way.
There's always gonna be a river I cannot cross.
Somewhere along this path that's chosen me
I know I'm gonna fall down, feel lost, feel weak.
But wherever it leads.

No one said this would ever be easy, my love.
But I will be by your side when the impossible rises up.
We will travel this life well-worn,
No matter the cost, no matter how long.
We will leave our footprints behind
And carry on, carry on, carry on, and carry on.

Some will write you off before you ever start.
Some will say the journey's just too hard.
Somewhere between right here and the other side
There will be fear and doubt in the deep dark night.
But we will survive, yeah.

No one said this would ever be easy, my love.
But I will be by your side when the impossible rises up.
We will travel this life well-worn,
No matter the cost, no matter how long.
We will leave our footprint behind
And carry on, carry on, carry on, carry on.

We may fall behind,
Lose miles along this road.
We will be alright,
I will never let you go.

No one said this would ever be easy, my love.
But I will be by your side when the impossible rises up.
We will travel this life well-worn,
No matter the cost, no matter how long.
We will leave our footprints behind
And carry on, and carry on...

Full Disclosure: We were invited to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. The Disneyland Resort offered a discounted rate for all attendees and their families. This is a once in a lifetime experience and we are grateful to Disney for allowing us to participate. We'll be sharing unique things seen and heard throughout the Celebration. Please keep in mind these our own personal thoughts and opinions, not those of the Walt Disney Company.

Robert B. Sherman, Saying Goodbye to a Disney Legend

If you've ever enjoyed Disney music, whether watching a Disney Film, riding an attraction or viewing a parade at Disneyland, chances are you're a fan of The Sherman Brothers. They have written all of the classic Disney songs from "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" to "Heffalumps & Woozles" to "Bare Necessities" and the most played song of all time, "It's a Small World (After All)."

We are so sorry to hear about the loss of the Robert B. Sherman. His son Jeffrey posted a sweet note announcing his passing last night on his Facebook account. And has since written this to all of the people leaving their condolences:

"Thank you everyone for your amazing outpouring of love. Dad once told me he wished he could stand at the end of the "It's a Small World" ride so he could shake everyone's hand as they exited. World peace, charity, love and family were his prayer for the world.
Robert B. Sherman was a poet all his life and, during the war, saw the darkest depths of humanity. He somehow survived those years and the nightmares that followed. He devoted his life and his passion to all forms of art to shine a light on the beauty of mankind and make the world a happier place.
Every time, everywhere someone sings his song, Dad is there smiling."

You can read the Disney Insider where Jeff has written what it was like as a child being "part of the magic" in Remembering Life As A Disney Kid.

Thanks to the Disney D23 Fan Club we've had the absolute honor to meet Richard Sherman on more than one occasion. We also had the pleasure of meeting Robert's son, Jeffrey and his family at the D23 Expo in 2011. Though we never got the opportunity to meet Robert, our memories and our time spent with the Sherman Family is held even more dearly now.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Sherman Family during this difficult time. The entire world is grieving with them. Robert has left behind a legacy nothing less than amazing and it will be treasured forever by people of all ages. He was 86. May he Rest in Peace. We are sure that Walt is welcoming home his old friend, and they are together again.
