Let It Snow

Oh the weather outside is frightful... Oh who are we kidding, we live in Southern California! Though we never get snow here, you couldn't tell when you walk down the streets of Hollywood Studios at Disney's California Adventure Park. These snowflakes captured here are larger than life, but then again the magic of the season doesn't surprise us.

We're so glad that you've decided to join us on our magical photographic journey

Sofia Grace & Rosie.... Check Out Cars Land!

The Ellen Show
sent Sofia Grace & Rosie to check out Cars Land!

We had to share this video with you today, Ellen has discovered these little darlings from England. She invites them on adventures and shares them with us. Ellen is like their Fairy Godmother. If you have not seen these two girls yet, they are adorable. Watch the You Tube video as cameras follow the girls inside Cars Land where they met Mator, washed him with bubbles, had a flavored popcorn snack at Cozy Cone Motel, and even rode the new Cars Land attraction Luigis Flying Tires.

*We are huge fans of Ellen and hope to dance with her one day!*

*Mad T Party* Preview Photos - Disney California Adventure

Ready to see a preview of what the Mad T Party at Disney California Adventure Park is going to look like?

Do you like Tea?
Summer will be here before you know it and there are so many things to look forward to at the Disney Parks this year with Cars Land, Buena Vista Street, Carthay Circle opening up on June 15th. There's also going to be new nightly entertainment that you don't want to be late for!  Get ready for the Mad T Party, which is taking over where ElecTRONica left off and is located in Hollywood Pictures Backlot. The theme is obviously Alice In Wonderland, but with a Tim Burton twist.
It's all going to be very mad if you ask us!

Along with the new party comes new food and drink offerings.
The Drink Me Bar invites Guests literally under the table to relax in oversized as they enjoy the party. Roving hawker Hatters will offer fanciful souvenir drink cups, glow merchandise and
 "Sweet Eat Me" treats.

The House of Cards Bar will serve curious concoctions for all ages. "Croque-tinis," "Mad Hat-itos" and more will come in novelty glassware. The Chiller Truck has frozen non-alcholic creations including "Jabberwocky Juice" and the create-your-own "Cheshire Twist."

We were at DCA on Mother's Day and we saw a lot of Curious Things in the works for Mad T Party. Are you as excited as we are? What do you think about the new summer night show? Does it sound like one big very merry unbirthday party to anyone but us?

For more curious captures visit our Mad T Party Flickr Set.

Finding Nemo is Coming Back in 3D

"Finding Nemo" 3D is swimming it's way to theaters this fall. "Finding Nemo" back? Well in our house, it never really left. This movie is a favorite in all of our houses. We use frequent references like "just keep swimming, just keep swimming" or speaking whale to each other at the breakfast table.
Then there's always:  P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney

You can see more of Nemo and his Lucky Fin in the
Disney Pixar Finding Nemo 3D Trailer below:

FINDING NEMO returns to theaters for the first time in 3D
September 14th, 2012!

"Fish are Friends, NOT Food" - BRUCE the SHARK

Who's your favorite character in "Finding Nemo"?
For us it's Dory, voiced by the hilarious Ellen DeGeneres.

DISNEYLAND

We were so excited when Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, located in Tomorrowland
opened at Disneyland in June 2007

 All Aboard!

As you gaze through your porthole you'll see scenes inspired by the 2003 movie
Disney Pixar's "Finding Nemo"

Did you know the attraction differs depending on which side of the submarine you sit?

  DISNEY CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE

On some warm Southern California days you can catch Marlin, Nemo, Dory, Crush and the whole "Finding Nemo" gang swimming through the streets of Disney California Adventure Park during the Pixar Play Parade, which showcases everyone's favorite characters from Pixar.

Disney's Prep and Landing

In case you haven't heard the two newest rising stars at DISNEY, aren't actually stars at all... They're Elves! Straight from Kringle Academy (they work for the big guy himself) and they're turning up everywhere!

In the house...

In the yard...

Hanging from the Christmas Tree...

No one does stealth like an elf!

If you haven't yet had the pleasure let us introduce you to Lanny and Wayne. two of Santa's finest. They make up an elite squad of special elves who ensure that homes around the world are properly prepared for their visit from Jolly Old Saint Nick. Truth is he could never do it without these guys.

Their new DVD comes out today including Prep and Landing & Operation: Secret Santa. You will enjoy watching these tiny little men on their big adventures on the night before Christmas. We've had it DVR'd all year long & are thrilled that we now have the DVD to watch. It has definitely been added to our list of Holiday Favorites.

Fans got to meet and greet some of the creators of Prep and Landing at the D23 Expo this summer. Director Kevin Deters,  Producer Dorothy McKim and Co-Director Stevie Wermers spoke to, shook hands and signed autographs for Disney lovers of all ages. They were busy promoting the upcoming special this December called Naughty vs. Nice which will premiere on Monday, December 5th and repeat on Thursday, December 22nd @ 8:30PM ET/PT on ABC.

During the holidays at the Disney California Adventure Park Lanny and Wayne even make a special appearance in the spectacular show World of Color. Not bad for a couple of guys who wear red and green tights, eh?

Can't get enough of Lanny and Wayne... Check out their webisodes HERE.

FYI: No elves were harmed in the making of this post.

California Adventure turns 10!

Happy Birthday CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE!

You've brought us a lot of JOY in the last few years.
You've even become a Family FAVORITE.
At times you've made us made us GLOW ,  DANCE & GET FESTIVE.
Having you in our lives has been a real TREAT.
You could even say, you've shown us a whole new WORLD OF COLOR.
You are the Best Wingman, DISNEYLAND could have wished for.
And to us, you're every bit as MAGICAL.

Thanks for the MEMORIES, it's been one heck of an ADVENTURE.

Love,
The Disney Sisters

ElecTRONica at Disney California Adventure

Welcome To THE GRID: Prepare to be digitized!
ElecTRONica, the newest night time experience at Disney's California Adventure brings to life the virtual world of TRON Legacy, the new Walt Disney Pictures' film opening nationwide on December 17, 2010. (My husband hasn't been this excited for a Disney movie since Pirates of The Carribean. Ha!) This high-energy street festival takes place in Hollywood Pictures Backlot. It took over for their big summer party GlowFest. (Which I adored.) ElecTRONica to me is a little more adult themed. But perfect for my older kids, ages 12, 14 and 15. It definitely brought out the inner-child in my husband too, he LOVED it!
The magician's at Disney have recreated an authentic version of the original Flynn's Arcade. Which we were most excited about. They have old school games in it, straight out of 1982. Being that I grew up in the 80s, I felt really at home. Just some of the classic games included in the arcade are Pole Position (my personal fav) Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Centipede & Donkey Kong. You need a token to play, so you put your money in the machine, and get a keepsake token. (It's up to you if you want to use it or keep it.) * I've also heard that sometimes when you go to get a fast pass for a ride at California Adventure, some people will get a coupon for a token for Flynn's. Super Cool!

You get a chance to sneak-a-peak of the new movie: TRON Legacy which opens in theaters on December 17, 2010, we will be seeing this movie FOR SURE! It made me realize how much I miss the People Movers (remember those) They were one of my very favorite rides at Disneyland. Maybe they'll bring them back with the success of the movie.
People dance and party the night away, while the live DJ spins a mix of techno, dance & electronica music. There are dancers and street performers using lasers, doing martial arts. I even had a girl pose for me, which I thought was really nice of her! Their costumes are amazing, but I wouldn't have expected anything different from Disney. The Poreotics (America's Best Dance Crew Season 5 Winner's) are also said to be performing at ElecTRONica from November 21 to the 24th.
You remember one of my favorite parts about GLOWFEST was that they had alcoholic beverages. ElecTRONica is no different. You can get your incandescent concoctions at the END OF THE LINE BAR. Cheers to you LaserMan!
It's a colorful laser light show filled with digitally projected light cycles that are cast all around. It's something that you won't want to miss. Especially if you are a TRON fan, or are a tween,  teenager and up. I thought it was a little dark for my 3 year old, but TRON isn't exactly a pre-schooler's movie anyway. : )
The Pre-Show is at Sunshine Plaza from 6PM and at 6:45PM
ElecTRONica goes 7 days a week from 7PM til Park closing in the HOLLYWOOD PICTURES BACKLOT

Disclaimer: I was not paid for this post. I was given tickets in order to facilitate my review.

Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort

Halloween Time has made it's way to So Cal, and it's going on now through October 31st at Disneyland Resort. Get ready to be dazzled in the most spook-tacular way!

My family and I just went to the Disneyland Resort this past weekend & had a pumpkin, er,  I mean ball. There are SO many festive sights, sounds and smells for the little ones and not so little ones. They really did an amazing job of getting us in the Halloween mood. Everywhere you look there are orange and black decor, pumpkins, fall leaves and more! If you have never been to Disneyland during Halloween Time, you really must go.

Also we will be attending MICKEY'S HALLOWEEN PARTY soon, so we will give you the low down on that too! (It's the separate ticketed event where kids and adults can dress up and trick-or-treat inside the park.)

  Halloween Time Highlights

  • Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland is transformed for the PUMPKIN FESTIVAL. More than 300 pumpkins will be on display in shop windows and none of them are the same!

  • Meeting Disney characters will be easier than ever as Disney villains gather to plot Halloween mischief at “it’s a small world” Mall in Disneyland, while other characters in spooky attire greet guests in Town Square, Main Street, U.S.A.
  • Special Halloween treats will be available in Disneyland, including menu items such as Zero’s Ghostly Ghoulash, served in a dog dish in honor of Zero.

  • Halloween Time gifts are offered in Disneyland Resort shops. Gifts include jack- o-lantern mouse ears and collectable pins depicting Mickey Mouse and his friends in Halloween costumes.

  • Jack Skellington also returns to take over the Haunted Mansion and bring back Haunted Mansion Holiday to New Orleans Square in Disneyland, inspired by “Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas.”
  • The "Haunted" version of Space Mountain aka Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy. Ghosts appear out of the starry darkness and swirling galaxies of Space Mountain, reaching out as if to grab guests as they speed through space. The exhilarating drops and curves of the journey are punctuated by piercing screams, creepy sound effects and haunting music.
  • For spine-tingling fun, drop in at The Twilight Zone™ Tower of Terror at Disney California Adventure park, where a “supernatural” event happened on Halloween evening, 1939, forever haunting the building.

And don't forget to go VOTE for your favorite Disney Villian!
(as of today: MALEFICENT is in the lead)
