Inside Disney's Art of Animation Resort Lobby

There are so many fantastic sights to see at the new Disney Resort, Art of Animation and we want to  share it all with you. Between the pool, the suites, the pool, the arcade, the pool, the play areas, the pool there's a lot of stunning visuals.

Let's talk about the Artwork in the Lobby and what they Animation Hall. All of your favorite characters in all stages of sketches adorn the walls and even the chandelier. The entire hotel is Walt Disney Animation and Disney Pixar themed. It literally makes you feel like you are apart of your favorite animated movie. The resort theme features 4 movies, "Finding Nemo," "The Little Mermaid," "Cars" and "The Lion King." If you are a fan of Disney movies (and who isn't) then you will definitely want to check out Disney's Art of Animation Resort opening May 31, 2012.

Fantasmic Dragon on So Cal Freeways

Driving the freeways of Southern California during rush hour 
can leave you feeling like a real dragon slayer.

Spotted early Tuesday morning, the massive head (15 feet long, 9½ feet high, 6 feet wide) of the fire-breathing “Maleficent” dragon from the Fantasmic! nighttime spectacular at Disneyland Park was transported by truck from Disneyland Resort in Anaheim to The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, on Southern California freeways.

The "Maleficent" dragon will be one of the largest pieces on display among more than 500 items from Disney’s history to be installed as part of D23 Presents

 Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives, 

a new exhibit opening July 6, 2012 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, curated by the Walt Disney Archives and hosted by D23: The Official Disney Fan Club.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort: First Look

While at the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration Conference we toured the newest Disney Resort

Disney's Art Of Animation at Walt Disney World.

It was an honor to be some of the first Guests to see it and we can't wait to share everything with you! In the next few weeks we will be sharing video, interviews, and even more photos!

The Resort welcomes its first Guests on May 31, 2012 when the Finding Nemo Family Suites open.

Location

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is adjacent to Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Resort Guests can enjoy complimentary transportation to and from the theme and water parks.

Room Types

Disney's Art of Animation Resort features room types for almost every party size and preference—including standard rooms and family suites.

Spacious family suites are designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6 Guests and include:

• 2 separate bathrooms
• A master bedroom
• 3 separate sleeping areas within the living space, which includes a generously sized dining or work table that easily transforms into a comfortable bed.

Resort Features
With 1,120 suites designed after Finding Nemo, Cars and The Lion King, and 864 rooms inspired by The Little Mermaid, you'll feel like you're staying in the middle of a Disney story with all of your favorite characters. Family suites are scheduled to open in May 2012 and standard rooms are scheduled to open September 2012.

Just outside your colorful accommodations, you'll find imaginative amenities, 3 sparkling swimming pools and 4 playful courtyards—one for each film—to complete your Resort experience.

For your convenience, Guests may take advantage of childcare, concierge services, valet dry cleaning and self-service laundry facilities.

Pools

Three swimming pools offer fun and refreshment. The largest is located in the Finding Nemo courtyard and features a pool bar. Two smaller pools, located in the Cars and The Little Mermaid courtyards, provide additional relaxation.

Recreation

Choose from a variety of amusements, including a video arcade, playgrounds and interactive water play areas that the little (and not so little) ones will love.

Dining

The animation-themed food court offers a variety of family favorites as well as Grab 'n Go market selections.

Club Penguin Launches New Video Puffle Trouble on YouTube

Hey Club Penguin Fans! 

Club Penguin just released their second animated short on YouTube, Puffle Trouble .

What happens when you combine adorable pet puffles and one of Club Penguin’s grumpiest villains, Herbert P. Bear -- trouble, that’s what!  The puffles team up to stop Herbert’s evil plan to end all parties on the island of Club Penguin. This is the second animated short released by Club Penguin. 
The first animated short from Club Penguin is called  Never Wake a Sleeping Sensei

Club 33 invites new members!

In honor of the 45th Anniversary of Club 33, Disney has decided to open the waiting list up again. For the first time in over a decade they will be giving membership opportunity to the exclusive club to a limited number of Guests. 

Club 33 Membership becomes available June 15, 2012*

It's something every Disney fan has on their Disney Bucket List.

We recently got a chance to spend the evening dining inside the secret restaurant at Disneyland above Pirates of the Caribbean ride in New Orleans Square also known as

CLUB 33. 

It was a night we will never forget, and are forever grateful to our friend 

Jamie Lynne (I'm Not The Babysitter) for sharing it with us.
