Inside Disney's Art of Animation Resort Lobby

There are so many fantastic sights to see at the new Disney Resort, Art of Animation and we want to  share it all with you. Between the pool, the suites, the pool, the arcade, the pool, the play areas, the pool there's a lot of stunning visuals.

Let's talk about the Artwork in the Lobby and what they Animation Hall. All of your favorite characters in all stages of sketches adorn the walls and even the chandelier. The entire hotel is Walt Disney Animation and Disney Pixar themed. It literally makes you feel like you are apart of your favorite animated movie. The resort theme features 4 movies, "Finding Nemo," "The Little Mermaid," "Cars" and "The Lion King." If you are a fan of Disney movies (and who isn't) then you will definitely want to check out Disney's Art of Animation Resort opening May 31, 2012.

"Enjoy a stay and a starring role in your favorite Disney / Pixar film." -Rick Allen, General Manager

Full Disclosure: We were invited to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. Walt Disney World offered a special discounted rate for all attendees and their families. This is a once in a lifetime experience and we are grateful to Disney for allowing us to participate. We'll be sharing unique things seen and heard throughout the Celebration. Please keep in mind these our own personal thoughts and opinions, not those of the Walt Disney Company.

Disney Princess Designer Collection Dolls

Ladies and Gentlemen...
Presenting the Disney Princess Designer Collection

Now exclusively at the Disney Store every Monday through October 24th one limited edition doll will be released and available for purchase. Disney has taken their dolls to a new level of excellence. The timelessness of 1950s-1960s glamour, with the high fashion modern edge of today.

This elegant new collection has been carefully crafted by Disney artists to re-imagine the magic and style of the classic Disney Princesses. Dolls included in the set of 10 are Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, Rapunzel, Snow White and Tiana.

Cinderella was the first Princess to be released. This past Monday it was Ariel.
Who will be next? Can you guess?

Quantities are limited and edition size will vary. These limited edition dolls cost $59.50. Or can be bought as an entire set for $595.00. (For a very limited time) Each doll is sold in a special keepsake display case with intricate details on the base, including their name. They will also include a Certificate of Authenticity. One doll will be released each Monday, and the identification of the doll will not be disclosed until that day. The dolls are available ONLY in Disney Stores and online at the DisneyStore.com.

We got a chance to see these beauties at the D23 Expo, when they unveiled the collection and they are stunning! We love the great amount of detail on each doll. Cinderella carries a "coach" purse (pun intended), Snow White is holding a poisoned apple, Rapunzel has a mirror in her hand, Belle is holding her rose and Jasmine carries a magic lamp. We took photos to share with all of you. The entire collection of Princess Designer Dolls are on display now at your local Disney Store, but you can only buy the ones that have been released.

Be sure to look for matching Disney Princess accessories and home products including clothing, cosmetics, stationary and more.

Disneyland's Summer Line-Up

It's going to be a Soundsational Summer at the Disneyland Resort taking place from June 3-Sept 5! (IT STARTS TODAY PEOPLE!) So mark it down in your Calendars, I know we have some plans to visit the Parks in the next few months. The Resort is extra fun during the summertime. Our Disney Annual Passes (So Cal) get blacked out soon. But if we want to buy a discounted blockout day ticket, they are $50 per person. Of'course there is always the possibility of upgrading our passes.... Hmmmm!

Disneyland has officially kicked off their new main street show, Mickey's Soundsational Parade including a new drumline, new colorful floats, and some of my favorite characters including Rapunzel, Mary Poppins, Princess Tiana, and Ariel.

And speaking of Ariel, we have all been waiting for the Little Mermaid ride to be finished and the time is finally here. Introducing the coolest thing to happen to California Adventure, since the WORLD OF COLOR. Ariel's Undersea Adventure opens June 3, and I can't wait to get on.

When they shut down Mulholland Madness, my daughter was really bummed, because it one one of her favorite rides in California Adventure. But I knew something bigger and better was coming our way. This summer Goofy will be teaching all of us how to fly. I'm really looking forward to seeing how my daughter feels about this new ride! Looks pretty Goofy, if you ask me.

Star Tours is back for the next generation with a new adventure. Can't wait to see what it's like to travel to another galaxy and back all in the matter of a few minutes. I know my husband is looking forward to this Star Wars inspired ride.

If you still have yet to see the show World of Color... You are missing out! We've seen it a number of times & it still is breathtaking! Plus now they've added new stuff for Pirates of the Caribbean with the mermaids and scenes from Tangled! Yay!

And who could forget about the nighttime party - ElecTRONica, which is still going on at California Adventure. It's not summertime until you have a glowing drink at the parks! Cheers!
